- Creative Fatal1ty USB Gaming Headset HS-1000 operating on Windows Vista 64-bit or Windows XP 64-bit
Fixes:
- Resolves audio related issues when the USB headset is operated on Windows Vista® and Windows XP.
Requirements:
- Microsoft® Windows Vista 64-bit or Windows XP 64-bit
- Available USB port for connecting the USB headset.
Notes:
- Disconnect your USB headset from your PC/Notebook before running this firmware update application.
Update for Windows Vista:
- To install this firmware
- Download the file onto your local hard disk.
- Double-click the downloaded file.
- Click the Install button to proceed with updating the device driver.
- Press and hold the Volume Up ( ) button on your headset's inline volume control.
- With the Volume Up ( ) button still being pressed, connect the headset's USB plug to your PC/Notebook's USB port.
- Release the Volume Up ( ) button.
- Click the Update button on the firmware update application.
- Monitor the update status on the screen. Do NOT disconnect the USB connection while updating is in progress.
- The application will display Firmware update completed upon a successful update.
- Click the Exit button to end.
- Restart system.
Update for Windows XP:
- To install this firmware
- Download the file onto your local hard disk.
- Double-click the downloaded file.
- Click the Continue Anyway button when a Hardware Installation notification for Universal Serial Bus controllers appears. Installing this firmware update will not impair or destabilize your system.
- Press and hold the Volume Up ( ) button on your headset's inline volume control.
- With the Volume Up ( ) button still being pressed, connect the headset's USB plug to your PC/Notebook's USB port.
- Release the Volume Up ( ) button.
- You may encounter a Found New Hardware notification. If so, select Yes, this time only and click the Next button to continue.
- Select Install the software automatically (Recommended) and click the Next button when Windows installs the drivers for USB Device with DFU Capabilities.
- Click the Continue Anyway button when a Hardware Installation notification for USB Device with DFU Capabilities appears. Installing this firmware update will not impair or destabilize your system.
- Click the Finish button to complete installing USB Device with DFU Capabilities.
- Click the Update button on the firmware update application.
- Monitor the update status on the screen. Do NOT disconnect the USB connection while updating is in progress.
- The application will display Firmware update completed upon a successful update.
- Click the Exit button to end.
- Restart system.
