This download contains a firmware for use with your Sound Blaster® Tactic3D Rage USB Headset on Mac® operating systems. After installing this firmware, you will need to reconnect the headset to the USB port. For more details, read the rest of this web release note.

Requirements:

  • Apple® Macintosh® OS X 10.5.8 and above 
  • Sound Blaster Tactic3D Rage USB Headset

Instructions to upgrade the Sound Blaster Tactic3D Rage USB Headset:

To install this firmware

  1. Download the file onto your local hard disk.
  2. Ensure that your Sound Blaster Tactic3D Rage USB Headset is connected to your computer.
  3. Double-click the downloaded file.
  4. Follow the instructions on the screen.
  5. After the installation of the firmware is completed, unplug and plug in your device again. 
    WARNING: Please ensure your device is connected during installation. Do not unplug your device until full installation completes. Do not restart your Mac during the firmware upgrade. Do not use a USB hub for installation.
