This package provides the LiteOn IT LCT-256M3S 2.5 256GB SED Firmware Update and is supported on Latitude and Precision models that are running the following Windows Operating Systems: VISTA, Windows 7 and Windows 8 .
PLEASE READ THIS INSTRUCTION BEFORE UPGRADING TO DELL DATA PROTECTION ACCESS v2.3: - Please upgrade your system in the following order: 1. Upgrade the Solid State Drive (SSD) firmware to this version (SRDC) 2. Upgrade Dell Data Protection Access to version 23. Your system may not boot if the above upgrade sequence is reversed. 4. Please follow the DOS firmware upgrade instructions to upgrade the SSD firmware to recover your system. WARNING: As with all firmware updates, it is strongly recommended that you backup or make copies of all important files before performing this update. - This firmware update process is done entirely at your own risk. - If performed correctly, there will be no loss of system or user data on the drive. - However, if the firmware process is interrupted for any reason, your solid state drive may not function properly.
