This is a firmware update for all NOMAD MuVo® players. You can also install this update to upgrade your NOMAD MuVo's firmware to play back Audible audio content. For complete functionality, confirm that you meet the requirements listed below before installing this update.

New Features or Enhancements

  • Enables you to format your player in Windows Explorer using the FAT16 or FAT32 file system.
  • Supports the playback of WMA, WMA version 9 and Audible tracks with DRM (Digital Rights Management) content protection. Important: To transfer WMA tracks with DRM content protection to your player, you must have NOMAD MuVo Pack (version 1.02.06 or later) for Creative MediaSource installed. To transfer Audible audio content with DRM content protection, you must have AudibleManager® installed.
  • Improves track organization and playback with two-tier directory structure.
  • Enables audio feedback when skipping forward or backward.
  • Improves playback of WMA files.

Requirements

  • Microsoft® Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows Me or Windows 98 SE
  • Available USB port (version 1.1 or higher)
  • NOMAD MuVo Driver version 1.00.04.250 installed
  • NOMAD MuVo Pack (version 1.02.06 or later) for Creative MediaSource

Note

  • To install this firmware upgrade, do the following:
  1. Transfer all files from your player to your computer before installing the firmware upgrade.
  2. Connect your player to your computer while pressing and holding the Play button. Keep pressing the Play button for 10 seconds after connecting the player to your computer.
  3. Release the Play button. A dialog box appears, prompting you to install a Player Recovery Device driver.
  4. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the device driver installation.
  5. Once the Player Recovery Device driver installation is complete, double-click the firmware upgrade .EXE file.
  6. When the NOMAD MuVo Audible Firmware Download dialog box appears, click the Start button.
  7. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the upgrade.
  8. Disconnect your player.
