This download contains an updated firmware for Sound Blaster® EVO Zx and is for Mac® OS X® operating systems only. For more details, read the rest of this web release note.

Fixes:

• Improved microphone performance in USB connection (new release in September 2013)
• Improved Bluetooth connectivity for NFC pairing
• Improved robustness of firmware upgrade for USB 3.0
• Improved robustness of redial (last number callback) on phones
• Fixed audio issue during phone call
• Improved robustness of the headset's power up
• Fixed LED and reboot issues when performing a factory reset

Requirements:

• Apple® Mac OS X 10.5.8 and above
• Sound Blaster EVO Zx
• USB port

Notes:

• To install the firmware, do the following:
  1. Download the file onto your local hard disk.
  2. Ensure that your SB EVO Zx is connected to your computer.
  3. Double-click the downloaded file.
  4. Follow the instructions on the screen.
  5. After the installation of the firmware is completed, unplug and plug in your device again.
• WARNING: Please ensure your device is connected during installation. Do not unplug your device until full installation completes. The installation will take a while. Do not restart your Mac during the firmware upgrade. Do not use a USB hub for the installation.
