For Fedora Linux Core 5/6, Mandriva Linux 2007.0, Open SuSE 10.2 (x86/x86_64)/Red Flag 5.0 Desktop, Ubuntu 6.10, Debian 3.1r4 and kernel 2.6.19.2 (x86): This guide describes the procedures required to enable the integrated Ethernet controller in VIA south bridge chips VT8237R, VT8237A, VT8237S, VT8251, CX700(M) and VIA Rhine chip VT6107. Three solutions are provided: (1) using the OS built-in driver, (2) installing VIA's pre-compiled driver binary, and (3) compiling VIA's driver source code.
