This download is a beta driver providing Microsoft® Windows® Vista™ 32-bit Beta 2 support for the audio devices listed below. For more details, read the rest of this web release note.

Take note of the following:

• THIS IS AN UNSUPPORTED BETA DRIVER. There is no technical support for this driver.
• We recommend that only experienced users install this driver. Do not install this driver for critical tasks.

Current Release Features

• Provides basic audio support and control options for sampling rate and speakers only. Applications bundled with your audio device will not work with this driver.

Known Issues

  • digital output
  • direct monitoring
  • EAX®
  • CMSS®-3D
• Device name is displayed as SB Live! 24-bit for all installed audio devices.
• Speakers can be configured in Control Panel only.

Requirements

• Windows Vista 32-bit Beta 2
• Sound Blaster® Audigy® Value, SE, LS or Sound Blaster Live! 24-bit audio device

Notes  

• DO NOT install this driver for Sound Blaster Live! 24-bit External.
• This package is only for the Creative Sound Blaster audio devices listed above. DO NOT install this package for other Sound Blaster audio devices.
• To install this driver,
  1. Close all other Windows applications.
  2. Double-click the downloaded file.
  3. Follow the instructions on the screen.
