This download is a driver providing Microsoft® Windows Vista™ 64-bit and Windows Vista 32-bit support for the audio devices listed below. For more details, read the rest of this web release note.

Current Release Features

  • Provides basic audio support and control options for sampling rate and speakers only. Applications bundled with your audio device will not work with this driver.

Known Issues

  • This download does not support direct monitoring.
  • Speakers can be configured in Control Panel only.

Requirements

  • Windows Vista 64-bit or Windows Vista 32-bit
  • Sound Blaster® Audigy® Value/SE/LS, or Sound Blaster Live!® 24-bit audio devices.

Notes  

  • DO NOT install this driver for Sound Blaster Live! 24-bit External.
  • This package is only for the Creative Sound Blaster audio devices listed above. DO NOT install this package for other Sound Blaster audio devices.
  • To install this driver
    1. Close all other Windows applications.
    2. Double-click the downloaded file.
    3. Follow the instructions on the screen.
