This download contains an updated firmware for Sound Blaster® EVO Wireless and is for Windows® only. This firmware includes support for Windows 8.1 (32-bit and 64-bit). For more details, read the rest of this web release note.

Fixes:

• Support USB audio on PlayStation®4 (new release in Sep 2014)
• Fixed an intermittent issue where headset shuts down randomly

Requirements:

• Microsoft® Windows 8.1 32-bit or 64-bit; Windows 8 32-bit or 64-bit; Windows 7 32-bit or 64-bit; Windows Vista® 32-bit or 64-bit (SP2)
• Sound Blaster EVO Wireless
• USB port

Notes:

• To install the firmware, do the following:
  1. Download the file onto your local hard disk.
  2. Ensure that your SB EVO Wireless is connected to your computer.
  3. Double-click the downloaded file.
  4. Follow the instructions on the screen.
  5. After the installation of the firmware is completed, unplug and plug in your device again.
• WARNING: Please ensure your device is connected during installation. Do not unplug your device until full installation completes. The installation will take a while. Do not restart your PC during the firmware upgrade. Do not use a USB hub for the installation.
