New in Release 301.42:

  • This driver is from the most recent driver release branch, and contains the latest new features and functionality. It has been tested for workstation environments, and is recommended only for those users who need specific features mentioned in the release highlights or release notes.  Also known as the Quadro New Feature driver.
    • For the most stable and fully supported enterprise driver please see the main Quadro download section.
  • Adaptive Vertical Sync
    • NVIDIA Adaptive Vertical Sync dynamically enables vertical sync based on your current frame rates to achieve the smoothest experience. This control is available on the NVIDIA control panel.
  • Frame Rate Target
    • NVIDIA Frame Rate Target dynamically adjusts the application frame rate to a user specified target. This feature available with third party applications via NVAPI.
  • NVIDIA Control Panel Changes
    The following pages have been updated:
    • Manage 3D Settings page
      Added ‘Adaptive’ options to V‐Sync setting. Expressed in English on international driver installations for this release.
      Added FXAA setting. 
    • Set SLI/PhysX Configuration page
      Visualizer shows all DisplayPort 1.2 displays connected. 
    • Set Up Digital Audio page
      Shows all audio‐capable displays that are connected through the same connector on the GPU for DisplayPort 1.2 displays.
  • NVWMI version 2.5
    • Implements following NVIDIA Performance Counters that can be used in PerfMon Tool.

      • Fan Speed
      • Physical Memory
      • Virtual Memory
      • Available Memory
      • Memory Clock Frequency
      • GPU Clock Frequency
    • Implements DisplayGrid::effectiveMode property. It reports bezel-corrected display dimensions.
  • Workstation application compatibility fixes. Please read the release notes for more information on product support, feature limitations, driver fixes and known compatibility issues.
