For Ubuntu 7.10(i686/x86_64): This guide describes how to install the VIA V-RAID driver v3.10 and its utility for the support of the VT8237R/VT8237A/VT8237S/VT8251/CX700/VX800 (Serial ATA RAID controllers). These six chips all support RAID Level 0, RAID Level 1 and JBOD. RAID Level 0 1 and RAID Level 5 are supported by VT8251. An introduction to RAID is included in the "Appendix" section.
