This download contains an updated firmware for Sound Blaster® Recon3D. For more details, read the rest of this web release note.

This download supports and is applicable for the following bundle:

• Sound Blaster Recon3D
• Sound Blaster Recon3D Omega Wireless

Fixes:

• Device LED not working properly
• Device hangs after use

Requirements:

• Microsoft® Windows® 8.1 32-bit or 64-bit, Windows 8 32-bit or 64-bit, Windows 7 32-bit or 64-bit, Windows Vista® 32-bit or 64-bit (SP2)
• Sound Blaster Recon3D
• USB port

Notes:

• To install the firmware, do the following:
  1. Download the file onto your local hard disk.
  2. Ensure SB Recon3D is set to PC MODE, and connect it to the USB port.
  3. Double-click the downloaded file.
  4. Follow the instructions on the screen.
  5. After the installation has completed, unplug and plug your device to the USB port.
  6. If you encounter a problem with the installation, try again using the USB 2.0 port of the system.
• WARNING: Please ensure your device is connected during installation. Do not unplug your device until full installation completes. The installation will take a while. Do not restart your PC during the firmware upgrade. Do not use a USB hub for installation.
